Waiting fans expressed definite opinions about who should play lead characters Christian Grey and Anastasia Steele. Many came with prints outs of their choice or with photos on their phone, ready to lobby James.

A majority favored Matt Bomer (White Collar) or Ian Somerholder (Vampire Diairies) for Grey. Choices for Anastasia were all over the map. The single most popular choice was probably Emilia Clarke (Game of Thrones), with a few others mentioning former GIlmore Girls star Alexis Bledel.

Martin, HBO’s Game of Thrones series concluded its 10-episode second season on June 3. Created and executive produced by David Benioff and D. B. Emilia Clarke makes any backdrop more pleasant and the word is that for the next season of Game of Thrones she will be blessing Morocco. Morocco is being added to shooting locales Belfast, Croatia, and Iceland mostly to offer a new setting for the continuing journey of Emilia’s dragon toting Daenerys Targaryen. Season 3 of HBO’s adaptation of George R.R. Martin’s A Song of Ice and Fire will begin to chronicle the happenings of his A Storm of Swords which, as I’ve said before, is by far the best of the novels, and if Benioff and Weiss hold true to the the threads in the book, fans have no idea for the gut punches coming their way.
