DAILY MAIL – She became the new face of Dolce & Gabbana’s fragrance The One, alongside Game of Thrones co-star Kit Harrington.

And Emilia Clarke launched herself into the fashion world as she filmed some new promotional material for the designer brand in Rome on Sunday.

The 31 year-old actress appeared right at home as she slipped into some of the fashion heavyweight’s sartorial choices, donning a decadent lacy black shift dress for the new campaign.

The screen queen beamed as she prepared for her fashionable moment, bundling up against the cold day in a large chestnut jacket.

Emilia’s petite frame was heightened by her classic patent black heels as she carefully meandered through the cobbled streets.

Her freshly dyed platinum blonde locks – a signature from her character on the HBO fantasy drama – sat loosely on her shoulders with light curls tucked behind her ears.

The Me Before You actress opted for a pair of ultra glamorous gold earrings with a matching pendant, with the black-accented beads matching her dress perfectly.

She added a pop of colour to an otherwise subdued look, with a deep berry red lip and lashings of mascara.

Emilia appeared to enjoy the company surrounding her, having a quick laugh with the production crew as she prepared to film the latest perfume campaign.

In September, Emilia was reunited with GoT hunk Kit Harington for Dolce and Gabbana’s The One perfume in a stunning alfresco-themed campaign, and looks set to follow suit with her next campaign shoot in the same location.

Earlier in the week, Emilia seemed to have a bit of trouble navigating her way around the city as she appeared rather lost while out and about in the Italian capital on Friday.

Looking slightly perplexed while sight-seeing with a friend, the London native looked worlds away from her Daenerys Targaryen getup as she wrapped up warm in a chic red plaid cape jumper.

The natural brunette opted for casual style while taking in the historical sights, slipping into straight-leg blue jeans and a semi-sheer dusk pink roll neck shirt.

She strolled through the cobbled streets in her sophisticated while block heels, as she stopped to check her phone while looking extremely puzzled.

Emilia carried her possessions in a black leather clutch bag while also trying to make sense of her phone.

She swept her platinum blonde locks up into a messy ponytail, showcasing the signature hair colour of her character on the fantasy show.

A natural beauty, Emilia went without make-up for her tourist day, shielding her eyes with dark aviator sungalsses as she stopped to get her bearings in a nearby shop.

Her European outing comes HBO confirmed Game of Thrones fans will have a long time to wait until the next installment of the fantasy drama.

HBO recently confirmed season eight will not hit screens until 2019, meaning the show will sit out 2018 entirely.

Emilia has starred in the show since it debuted back in 2011. It has become a fan favourite thanks to its stellar cast, action-packed drama and raunchy scenes, but Emilia has since spoken out about the nudity involved in Game of Thrones and insisted it should not overshadow the show’s storylines.

In an interview with Harper’s Bazaar, she hit back: ‘People say, “Oh yeah, all the p**n sites went down when Game of Thrones came back on,” and I’m like, “The Handmaid’s Tale?!” I f**king love that show and I cried when it ended because I couldn’t handle not seeing it – that is all sex and nudity.

‘There are so many shows centred around this very true fact that people reproduce. People f**k for pleasure – it’s part of life.’
