Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke will topline The Garden of Last Days, James Franco’s latest directorial effort.
This is the first gig for Clarke since signing with CAA in October.
Last Days is being financed by Nu Image/Millennium with Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel, Danielle Robinson, Hanna Weg, Vince Jolivette and Miles Levy producing.
Adapted from the 2008 novel by Andre Dubus III (House of Sand and Fog), The Garden of Last Days explores family and sexual values over the course of a night set in a Florida strip club.
In one of three interwoven stories, Clarke will play a stripper who brings her 3-year-old daughter to work.
A July start is being eyed for the low-budget movie.
Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen, the dragon-commanding princess trying to reclaim her family’s throne, in HBO’s hit fantasy Game of Thrones. She has British crime drama Dom Hemingway, which stars Jude Law, in the can.
