Fox Searchlight Pictures has announced that they have picked up the North American rights to black comedy “Dom Hemingway.” The film is written and directed by Richard Shepard and stars Jude Law, Richard E. Grant, Demian Bechir, and Emilia Clarke.

Law stars as the title character, a safecracker who, according to the synopsis, following a prison stint “sets off with his partner in crime Dickie (Richard E. Grant) looking to collect what he’s owed for keeping his mouth shut and protecting his boss Mr. Fontaine (Demian Bechir). After a near death experience, Dom tries to re-connect with his estranged daughter (Emilia Clarke), but is soon drawn back into the only world he knows, looking to settle the ultimate debt.”

Shepard’s numerous credits include executive producing the recently cancelled CBS drama “Golden Boy,” and writing and directing 2005’s “The Matador” with Pierce Brosnan and Greg Kinnear. Jeremy Thomas (“The Last Emperor,” “Kon-Tiki”) produced “Hemingway.”

Fox Searchlight expects to release the film in 2014.

A question asked frequently by Futurama fans at Comic-Con and other conventions is: Will Zoidberg ever find love? Turns out, that very question will be explored in an upcoming episode. EW has learned that the disgusting decapodian will make a romantic connection with

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke!
Instead of playing a determined dragon queen, though, Clarke will guest star on the animated 31st-century-set comedy as a flower stand owner who, ironically enough, was born with no sense of smell. “She falls in love with Dr. Zoidberg — the smelliest character on Earth in the future — but she can’t smell him, so it’s a match made in heaven,” explains series executive producer David X. Cohen. “However, being a doctor, he has the opportunity to perform a nose transplant and give her a sense of smell, which would destroy their romance, so it’s a big dilemma.”
Clarke’s episode is slated to air as the second-to-last episode of the series. Futurama will officially end its seven-season run of 140 episodes on Sept. 4, as Comedy Central has decided not to order additional installments.

Happy birthday, Emilia Clarke!

The “Game of Thrones” star, who plays Daenerys Targaryen in the HBO medieval-fantasy series, turns 26 today (May 1) — and what a year she’s had.

The naturally brunette Clarke captured the eyes of audiences around the world when she first appeared as the blonde Khaleesi on “GOT,” nabbing the role after fellow British actress Tamzin Merchant dropped out of the pilot for undisclosed reasons.

“She is this incredible, incredible character,” Clarke told “Access Hollywood” of Daenerys. “You get to see her start as this really young, naive sort of girl who really doesn’t know very much about what’s going on in her life and then she just grows into this incredible woman and this warrior princess, really.”

Most recently, Clarke starred as Holly Golightly in the Broadway production of Truman Capote’s “Breakfast at Tiffany’s,” which ended in mid-April.

We can’t wait to see what this year brings for her.

Game of Thrones star Emilia Clarke will topline The Garden of Last Days, James Franco’s latest directorial effort.

This is the first gig for Clarke since signing with CAA in October.

Last Days is being financed by Nu Image/Millennium with Gerard Butler, Alan Siegel, Danielle Robinson, Hanna Weg, Vince Jolivette and Miles Levy producing.

Adapted from the 2008 novel by Andre Dubus III (House of Sand and Fog), The Garden of Last Days explores family and sexual values over the course of a night set in a Florida strip club.

In one of three interwoven stories, Clarke will play a stripper who brings her 3-year-old daughter to work.

A July start is being eyed for the low-budget movie.

Clarke plays Daenerys Targaryen, the dragon-commanding princess trying to reclaim her family’s throne, in HBO’s hit fantasy Game of Thrones. She has British crime drama Dom Hemingway, which stars Jude Law, in the can.
